Gerry is a former RTÉ 2FM DJ. In 1994, he also took on an announcing role for RTÉ One and RTÉ Network 2. He also voiced promotional trails for the TV channels. Gerry gave up the TV announcing post in 1997. In June 2001, Gerry left RTÉ to go full-time with his voiceover business.
