Louise was born in Burnley and graduated from Durham University. She is a Sony Award-winning presenter, journalist and documentary maker specialising in presenting programmes on crime and social issues. Since 2014, Louise has travelled round the country presenting for various BBC local radio stations (from Lancashire to London, Devon to Berkshire). She’s also been a news presenter on BBC Radio 6 Music, a reporter for Newsbeat (BBC Radio 1) and The Arts Show (BBC Radio 2), and has spent years behind-the-scenes at BBC Radio 1 and BBC Radio 2, including working with Sir Terry Wogan, Steve Wright, Chris Moyles, Jo Whiley, Sara Cox and The Sunday Surgery.

Louise has covered countless award ceremonies (BAFTAs and Oscars) and red carpet premieres, and has interviewed the likes of Tom Cruise, Kylie Minogue, Michael Douglas, Simon Cowell, Julie Andrews and Britney Spears. In her time on the showbiz desk, she covered the trial and subsequent death of Michael Jackson, and the deaths of both Amy Winehouse and Whitney Houston. Radio documentaries include Missing the Message (BBC Radio 1) which won Louise a gold Sony radio academy award, and Ladies on the Door (BBC Radio 4). Louise also freelances as a journalist on the BBC World Service.

Her TV work includes: reporting for Celebrity Trolls: We’re Coming to Get You (Channel 5); Inside Out (BBC One London, 2009 – present); ITV London News (2012); London Live (a crime documentary series which she produced, directed and reported for); Watchdog (BBC One, 2012 – 2014); Live with Gabby (Channel 5). As a journalist, she has also been a news presenter and producer for ITN. Louise narrated Kate and Wills: A Royal Love Story (ITV 2) on the engagement of Kate Middleton and Prince William. She has been a continuity announcer for BBC Three, Channel One, Virgin One and Trouble TV and is currently a freelance announcer for BBC TV. She also does voiceovers for QVC and Gamestation and very.co.uk and is working freelance as a TV reporter, for both ITN and the BBC.
