Andrea graduated with BA in English Literature and Media Studies from the University of Sussex. In 2006, she completed work experience at Global Radio on the XFM breakfast show with Lauren Laverne and Shaun Keaveny.
She was a freelance presenter/newsreader, co-hosting the breakfast show on BBC Sussex (2007 – 2012). She was head of music at Juice 107.2 in Brighton (2012 – 2016).
Andrea was a freelance tech op on the Two Mikes overnight show and on Alan Brazil’s Sports Breakfast (Talk Radio, 2014 – 2016). Since 2015, she’s had her own show at Heat Radio, as well as providing cover for the live breakfast show there.
She was a writer on XYZ Magazine (2007 – 2012) and a columnist on Latest Homes (2010 – 2012).
In January 2013, Andrea joined ITV as an announcer on the main channel and since February 2015, she’s been a continuity announcer for the Food Network.
In 2019, she broadcast on MKFM in the 10am – 1pm slot and has her own weekly podcast that looks at big ethical issues affecting the environment.
In December 2021, she appeared on BBC Radio 4’s The Media Show in a special edition about TV announcers.
