Godfray, Jacqui
Jacqui was a television continuity announcer/director with BBC Northern Ireland (1989 – c. 1999). She then moved to BBC Radio Ulster, as a newsreader. Jacqui read her final news bulletin there just before midnight on Friday 22nd November 2019.

Danny’s career began with BBC Northern Ireland where he worked as a research/production assistant on BBC Radio Ulster. He became one of the presenters on the newly launched BBC Radio 5 in 1991. After a short period working as a presenter for Radio Napa in Cyprus he moved to London to work for BBC TV News.
In 1994, Danny started work with BBC Radio 1 as a trainee research/production assistant. Danny’s involvement with BBC Radio 1 continued until 2006; during his time there, he performed various roles, including broadcast assistant, producer and voiceover artist.
During his career, Danny has also presented various programmes for Liberty Radio, Thames Radio, FLR and The Sun Live.
In September 2005, Danny joined Channel 4 as an announcer. He can be heard on Channel 4, E4 and More4.
Timlin, David
David was an RTÉ newsreader and announcer, from the early 1960s until the mid-1970s.
Norton, Dick
Dick is a former Associated Rediffusion and ATV (Midlands) announcer.
Wogan, Terry
Terry joined Radio Éireann as an announcer in 1961. He was a presenter and newsreader on RTÉ Television until joining the BBC in 1969.
Porter, Gillian
Gillian spent a brief spell on the BBC Northern Ireland TV announcing staff in 1992. She then moved to UTV, to take up a similar role there.

Gary was a continuity director/announcer with BBC Wales TV (late-1980s). He’s a former CBC and Red Dragon Radio presenter. He went on to become a specialist music producer for BBC Radio Wales.
Fitzgerald, Kieran
Kieran was a continuity announcer on RTÉ One during 1987 and 1988.
He is a former producer, reporter, and researcher with RTÉ, having worked on popular television and radio programmes, including The Late Late Show, Prime Time, and Liveline.
He was named News and Current Affairs Journalist of the Year in 1999, and is a former chair of the Dublin Broadcasting Branch of the National Union of Journalists.
He had served as head of communications and research for the Garda Síochána Ombudsman Commission from 2007. In December 2011, he was appointed to the Garda Síochána Ombudsman Commission.
He has a doctorate in governance from the School of Law at Queen’s University Belfast, and is a member of the executive committee of the British and Irish Ombudsman Association.
Damon, Dan
Dan began his broadcasting career with Cardiff’s short-lived CBC Radio. He joined the BBC in 1974 as a sound engineer for radio news in Broadcasting House. He was a BBC TV network announcer in the mid to late-1970s and early 1980s.

Tom was born in South Shields. In his 20s, he was a presenter of BBC Radio’s Children’s Hour. He made his first TV appearance in 1958, interviewing a miner on Tyne Tees TV. He was a member of the original announcing team in 1959.
