Long-standing ITV regional news presenter Bob Warman has announced that he plans to retire in July, after almost half a century on our screens.
The veteran broadcaster was first seen on air in 1973, as a reporter on the regional news magazine ATV Today. After a brief spell as presenter of Yorkshire TV’s Calendar (1976 – 1978), he returned to ATV and would remain a familiar face to viewers of ITV’s regional news programme in the Midlands until the present day.
Bob will present ITV News Central for the final time at 6pm on 4th July.
