Cameron, Douglas
Douglas was a BBC TV network announcer (1964 – 1968). He presented BBC Radio 4’s Today (1971 – 1974) and later was a newscaster and broadcaster with Independent Radio News. He was a programme presenter on London’s LBC, and then royal correspondent for IRN. He is also believed to have been an announcer with Scottish TV.
Champney, Clive
Clive was a long-serving Border Television continuity announcer and also programme presenter, from 1963. Clive now narrates for audio books.
Thornton, Mark
Mark is a former freelance continuity announcer for Border TV (late-1990s). He was also a DJ on Metro FM in the north east of England.
Marriott, Vicki
Vicki worked on attachment as a BBC TV network announcer (1988 – 1989). She later worked as a producer in the Presentation department.
Powell, Natasha
Natasha was a continuity announcer with Channel 5 (dates TBC). She has also voiced trails for BBC TV.
Beaven, Steven
Steve was a regular voice on BBC One Wales, BBC Two Wales and BBC Choice Wales (2000 – 2002). Shortly after leaving BBC Wales, he moved to TV Centre as a network director on BBC One, BBC Two and BBC Four.
Steve later returned to his roots and worked at ITV News in the Central South region. On any given day he might be production assisting, reporting, and/or producing.

Clifford is a former ABC TV and Southern TV announcer.
Byrne, Paul
Paul was a continuity announcer on RTÉ One and RTÉ Network 2 from 1997 until TBC.
Purdon, Iain
Iain joined BBC Scotland in May 1973, initially working for BBC Radio 4. He was a regular continuity voice on BBC One Scotland between 1974 and 1978 and was one of the pioneers of the practice of linking the entire mixture of network and Scottish programmes from Scotland. Early teething troubles included chopping off part of the prime-time Les Dawson show one Saturday night and transmitting a rehearsal of his next programme junction in its place. There was one viewer phone call – expressing thanks!
Iain moved to the new BBC Radio Scotland in 1978 to head up its announcer team. In 1982 he took up a post with BBC Radio 2. Since 1995 he has been working with the BBC World Service as a newsreader.
In his spare time, Iain plays bass guitar in a vintage rock ‘n’ roll band.
Brodie, Anne
Anne was a Grampian Television in-vision continuity announcer (1971 – 1975, early 1980s). She also freelanced for Scottish Television (1975 – 1978).
James, Nikki
Nikki was on attachment as a BBC TV network announcer (1986 and 1988). She also provided voiceovers on Points of View (BBC One).
