Keith was a news presenter with TVS. When Meridian took over the southern ITV franchise, he moved to BBC Look North at BBC North East in Newcastle.
Keith is currently a senior reporter for BBC Look North.

Alexander, Cathy
Former Central News (South) reporter and presenter. Cathy also presented the news on the now defunct satellite broadcaster BSB in 1990. She currently presents and reports for Meridian Tonight.
Tilling, Roger
Guthrie, Denise
Denise was a Scottish TV continuity announcer in the late-1980s. Before going into television announcing, Denise freelanced for the AA Roadwatch travel news service.
Williams, Nigel
Nigel worked as a voiceover artist with LWT from 1990. Nigel tells us: “I was auditioned by producer Steve Allen in 1990 to provide the voice for a young and trendy overnight sequence that never saw the light of day. When the promotions department was looking for a ‘younger’ image to promote the Saturday night Baywatch, Blind Date, Gladiators sequence, I was recalled and became the guy who did the ‘big sell’. After presenting the head of promotions with a demo of more mature, subtle delivery, I was allowed greater freedom in my style and eventually became the lead brand image voice with Trish Bertram.”
Nigel continued to work for network ITV and was also the presenter of Late Night Love Songs on Heart 106.2 in London.
Hamilton, Steve
Steve was an in-vision announcer for STV (1970s – mid-1980s). He was later the voice of Scottish TV’s Wheel of Fortune gameshow. He was also the voiceover man on ITV’s Family Fortunes. He also did a stint at Talk Radio as a stand-in presenter for James Whale on the late-night phone-in.

David is a former ITV Meridian announcer.
Hood, Morag
Morag was a presenter on STV children’s programme Roundup. She also spent a while as an announcer with STV before embarking on an acting career, which included the role of Natasha in the BBC’s lavish production of War and Peace. She had many TV and stage roles during her acting career.
Morag died in 2002.
Butler, Keith
Keith was a TVS continuity announcer in the 1980s and 1990s. He was also occasionally heard on Meridian. Keith later presented an overnight radio show on Captial Gold. He also presented a show dedicated to nothing but number 1s on Sunday nights between 6 and 10pm.
Kristiansen, Liz
Liz was an STV continuity announcer (1980s – 1994). She then moved into teaching, taking up a post at Spring Burn College, Glasgow.
