Ashleigh was born in Newcastle upon Tyne in 1980. She graduated from the University of Sunderland. In 2001, she won a radio competition to be the traffic and travel reporter at Century FM.
In 2004, Ashleigh moved into radio presenting full-time. She’s worked at various stations, including: Metro Radio, Magic, Heat Radio, Sun FM, Durham FM, TFM, Pattaya 105.
Ashleigh has appeared as a news presenter on BBC regional news; she has also presented the weather for BBC South.
In January 2009, she moved into an announcing role for BBC TV. She’s been heard linking the programmes on BBC One and BBC Two, and has also been heard occasionally on BBC Three and BBC Four.
Her TV announcing role is now focused on BBC One – a role she performs from Media City in Manchester and White City in London.
After becoming editor-in-chief at Luxuria Lifestyle in 2013, Ashleigh went on to become founding editor of digital luxury lifestyle magazine Luxe Bible in 2017.
