Gaynor Barnes and John Shires have presented their final edition of ITV News Calendar.
Gaynor has been presenting on the Calendar programme since June 1991.
Regarding her departure from the programme after almost 30 years, she said: “Making the decision to leave Calendar hasn’t been an easy one. Bringing the news to viewers homes for nearly three decades has been a privilege and a pleasure.
“My career with the company has certainly surpassed all my expectations. I will, without doubt, miss work and all the wonderful colleagues and friends I’ve made over the years.
John joined Calendar in 1989. During his time with the programme, he has worked as a reporter and presenter.
Speaking about his decision to retire, he said: “After 32 years at Calendar, it has not been an easy decision to retire.
“I will miss the people I work with, and I will also miss the buzz of a live news programme. I can look back on so many stories and momentous events covered, so many friendships and memories – most of them happy.
“However, it is time to move on to the next chapter and, before I go I will reveal which football club I really support!”
