Amanda has voiced English language audio courses (e.g. Linguaphone, Pearsons, Hugo, Longmans, de Agostini) since 1986. From 1988, she voiced trails for Anglia TV, Living, Granada Plus, Disney and TVS. Amanda got an attachment as a BBC TV network announcer (1988 – 1990) and was one of the voices on BBC TV’s Points of View (1987 – 1990). She also voiced BBC TV programme trails (1991).
…Jaque, Natalie
Natalie gained a degree in journalism with distinction and then backpacked around the world for a while (before the days of e-mail, iPad or mobile phone). She worked as a staff announcer with the BBC from 1997 until 2004, mainly live on BBC Two. Since March 2015, she has been a freelancing voice on both BBC One and BBC Two. Natalie was also the first female voice on BBC Knowledge and BBC Choice, and went on to become the BBC’s first freelance announcer.

Pete joined Channel 4 as an announcer in autumn 2005 for the launch of More4. He has also been heard on Channel 4 itself as well as E4.
Paton, Isla
Isla was a BBC TV network announcer (mid-1990s). She then moved to Channel 4 (January 1999 – present) where she’s been an announcer on Channel 4, E4 (she was also the launch voice for the channel), 4Music and More4.
Young, Lynsey
Lynsey graduated from the University of Manchester. She began her broadcasting career co-presenting and producing the Breakfast Show for Heart 106.2 (January 1997 – February 1997). She then became a national reporter (October 1997 – December 1999), fronting travel news on Kiss 100, Virgin Radio, TalkSport, Magic 105.4 and GMTV.
…Cowan, Danny
Danny’s career began with BBC Northern Ireland where he worked as a research/production assistant on BBC Radio Ulster. He became one of the presenters on the newly launched BBC Radio 5 in 1991. After a short period working as a presenter for Radio Napa in Cyprus he moved to London to work for BBC TV News.
In 1994, Danny started work with BBC Radio 1 as a trainee research/production assistant. Danny’s involvement with BBC Radio 1 continued until 2006; during his time there, he performed various roles, including broadcast assistant, producer and voiceover artist.
During his career, Danny has also presented various programmes for Liberty Radio, Thames Radio, FLR and The Sun Live.
In September 2005, Danny joined Channel 4 as an announcer. He can be heard on Channel 4, E4 and More4.
Gibb, Claire
Formerly Claire Dickinson. Claire has been the female voice of Film4 since 2006, when the channel was relaunched. She also announces on Channel 4, More4 and E4. Prior to her career at Channel 4, Claire was a presenter on XFM.
Claire had a baby son, Laurence, in March 2009.
Adoo, Edward
Edward joined Channel 4 in autumn 2005 for the launch of More4. He also had brief stints on Channel 4 and E4. Whilst at Channel 4, Edward was a freelance announcer for ITV 2, ITV 4 and Men and Motors.
Edward is now freelancing. Recent work: the voice of the Fresh 40 Chart, syndicated across ten commercial radio stations; promo voice for MTV Networks (MTV Base and TMF).
